Peter Röttges Heart Project
This is a joint project with the German sculptor Peter Röttges. He has been giving wooden hearts out to well known artists in Germany over the last few years asking them to paint them and return them to him. He gives them 2, one to keep for themselves and one to send back to him. When he gets 100 of them he plans on displaying them at an exhibition. He had over 80 last fall when he asked me to do one. This is my heart that I finished and sent back to him yesterday. Hope he likes it. I called it "Colors of love". The darker colors on one side represent the darker side of the emotion and the brighter colors on the other stand for the lighter side of Love. I left some of the heart neutral so his work could be seen better.
